A LIBERTARIAN VISION FOR HEALTH CARE
As Libertarians we are often asked how free and open markets can compete and provide the answers and services so many Americans seem to be missing or unable to render now. The foundation for this discussion is mired in the current reality that while we are often told America has a free market for healthcare, that has not been the case on many levels for over 100 years. The slow and steady creep of govt intrusion and coercion has corrupted everything from general practice, emergency room visits and even health check ups. Once upon a time Doctors made house calls, these days they are fleeing practice to avoid a mountain of burdensome paperwork and regulations that trap them in an endless wheel of service for little reward.
